 Taipei,
January 27, 2004 - Adding an unprecedented
level of interoperability to hardware peripherals,
ATEN International, a leading provider of
practical connectivity solutions, just released
a new generation of USB KVMP switches. Multiple
platform users welcome this technology for
its unique compatibility with PC, Mac, Sun
and Linux platforms.
ATEN International has developed the first
truly interoperable USB KVMP switch enabling
the user to perform seamless asynchronous
switching between PC and KVM switch, for
up to 2 or 4 computers. This benefits the
user by allowing him to switch from PC1
to PC2 and still maintain simultaneous operation
of the USB device attached to PC1. Each
USB device can be switched by simply pressing
the front panel pushbutton.

The CS-1732 and the CS-1734 Master View
USB KVMP Switches are the first of their
kind to transfer KVM focus to a different
computer while maintaining peripheral focus
on the original computer. This unique asynchronous
switching is made possible with ATEN's integrated
USB hub built into the KVM switch combined
with their advanced functioning ASIC. ATEN's
KVMP Series is available in an attractive
2-port or 4-port desktop model and has the
ability to share one set of speakers among
all the connected computers on the installation.
The CS-1732/CS-1734 offers dual interface
that supports computers with PS/2 or USB
keyboards and mice.
 "
With the Master View CS-1732/CS-1734 USB
KVMP switch, we have targeted high-end owners
of multiple PCs who demand convenient interoperability
of USB KVM switching for their home and
office. Our new solution translates to a
neater and tidier work space for the end
user and ultimately frees up cash saved
from not having to buy extra peripherals,"
said Kevin Chen, General Manager of ATEN.
" We have also developed our own unique
ASIC which guarantees a competitive advantage.
This integrated chip maximizes KVM switch
function while preventing competitors from
copying our product technology. Our highly
specialized ASIC provides greater functional
versatility and performance stability, minimizing
the overall size of the unit and significantly
reducing its cost."
Setting up the CS-1732 and the CS-1734 requires
simply plugging in the cables. Each unit
includes all of the necessary cables ( five
cables accompany the Master View CS-1734
), eliminating any additional cable purchases.
The CS-1732 and the CS-1734 will be shipped
to global distributors and on shelves worldwide
in January of 2004.
