ATEN Turns On the Power of Channeling within the Czech Republic

Looking to build a complete channel network, ATEN seeks more qualified local partners

Taipei - May 6, 2004 - ATEN INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD. a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of advanced connectivity solutions for the IT industry is currently looking for partnerships with more qualified channel partners in the Czech and Slovak Republics. Until recently ATEN has maintained an active presence in the OEM market, now they are asserting their own brand of KVM products and reinvigorating their channels in Central and Eastern Europe. ATEN's products focus on high-end KVM switches that allow multiple computers to be accessed from a single console. ATEN also offers a broad range of data communication products that can expand peripheral sharing ability, extend the distance between computers and peripherals, or convert one type of data signal to another.

ATEN entered the Czech IT market in 1998 with an interest in partnering up with companies with server room expertise capable of technical support for data centers equipped with rack mounted KVM installations. ATEN's server room solutions meet the specific demands of Czech enterprises, providing a reliable and stable alternative to software solutions. ATEN's KVM solutions not only provide enterprises with streamlined expansion of their server rooms, but also significantly enhance the flexibility, efficiency and reliability of server management. ATEN also provides comprehensive technical training to their new channel partners for customer assistance in the installation and implementation of each KVM switch.

In 2003, IDG International Datagroup published a study on Central and Eastern Europe illustrating the great potential within the Czech Republic. According to current estimates the total IT spending by 2007 will total approximately USD 1,300 million, growing 9.4% annually. Estimates predict that the Czech and Slovak KVM markets will be worth approximately 15 million USD by the year 2007.

“In the growing Czech IT market, we are focusing primarily on enterprise solutions that offer both IP-based and high multiple matrix KVM solutions for the banking sector, manufacturing, healthcare, education and government institutions, " said Kevin Chen, President of ATEN International. " With the expanding European Union, ATEN sees great potential for Czech enterprises and growth within the IT market. Currently, we are seeking more partners within the Czech Republic to better distribute our advanced KVM solutions. We believe that through our close cooperation with local partners, ATEN can effectively provide better quality customer service while garnering a greater proportion of market share."

ATEN has over 20 years of experience in the field of connectivity, offering KVM switches ranging from the SOHO environment to high end enterprise level products. For more information, check out ATEN's website: www.aten.com

About the KVM Switch

KVM (Keyboard, Video and Mouse) switches are control units that allow access to multiple computers from a single console. Before the development of KVM switches, the only way to control multiple computers from a single console was through a complex and costly network. Now, with the KVM switch, people can easily access multiple computers or platforms (from 2 to up to 4096) in a convenient, space saving and cost effective manner.
