ATEN INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD. a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of advanced connectivity solutions, announced today that it has established a new R&D headquarter at the company's Taiwan headquarters in Sijhih City, to expand its global R&D team. The investment of the new R&D headquarter will assist integrating and effectively using the current R&D resources located in Taiwan, Shanghai and Canada, thereby elevating the company's innovative abilities, strengthening its market competitiveness, and accelerating the growth in the Taiwan industry.
The new R&D headquarters has more than 3,300 square meters of office space that can accommodate not only the current number of R&D personnel, but also has enough space for approximately 100 more employees. ATEN designed the office with the employees in mind and created an arts and cultural space to encourage more creativity and innovation.
"Innovative R&D is the core of today's enterprises in creating its future market competitiveness," said Kevin Chen, President of ATEN International. "ATEN has invested a large amount of funds and talents to build our new R&D headquarters to integrate our R&D resources. Apart from creating a comfortable and elegant environment to encourage innovation and creativity, accelerate time-to-market, and elevate our competitiveness, we hope to better demonstrate how we can use Taiwan as the R&D center to market to our global business operations."
Currently, ATEN has 220 R&D employees worldwide, including approximately 150 R&D employees in Taiwan. With the move to the new R&D headquarters, ATEN will hire professional talents on a needed basis to join its R&D team to expand its R&D capabilities. Moving forward, the new R&D headquarter will not only assist in raising new R&D capabilities, technologies and products, but will also play a role in integrating its R&D resources globally and cultivating new talents.
"Amidst the trend of moving the industry overseas, ATEN not only has established its headquarters in Taiwan, but has now chosen to open the new R&D headquarters in Taiwan to expand its R&D scale and keep the core technologies in Taiwan to accumulate its capabilities," said Chen. "ATEN has realized our commitment to give back to the society."
