ATEN provides two total OPMA solutions: the M1 card for IPMI and the M3 card for eKVM plus IPMI. The IP-1200 is the first OPMA M1 compliant card in the world. ATEN develops the IP-1200 card, IPMI 2.0 compliant firmware, and API/SDK as the reference design kit to benefit server OEMs and motherboard manufacturers by reducing platform development risk, cost and time to market.

Remote Power Management
ATEN's IP1200 OPMA M1 card provides a simple way to remotely manage a server's power status without additional costs. IPMI provides power down, power up, power cycle and power reset power management capabilities.
Easy to install
The IP1200 OPMA M1 card provides a simple way to integrate IPMI technology in servers. Platform vendors need only refer to the IP1200’s design guide, and follow the IPMI Global pin definition. Platforms are then certified as IPMI enabled.
Robust Security
The IP1200 OPMA M1 card features comprehensive protection for server/BMC communication: MD2, MD5, RAKP-HMAC-SHA1, HMAC-SHA1-96, RAKP-HAMC-MD5, HMAC-MD5-128, and AES-CBC-C-128 algorithms.
Alert Messages
IPMI provides IT administrators an easy way to monitor servers remotely (Out of Band). IT administrators can easily set up server alert tables using custom IPMI software. The Baseboard Management Controller can be configured to routinely monitor sensor status and send alerts when certain pre-defined events take place. These alert messages can warn IT administrators of potential problems before they occur; thus preventing server damage and down time.
Platform Health Monitor
The IP1200 provides platform health related information. Monitor CPU temperature, voltage, fan speed, etc. Moreover, the IP1200 can also generate system logs and platform information including BMC and chassis information.
